This recent batch of screenshots for Tales of Xillia 2 by Namco Bandai in Japan covers a few new and returning characters which will be included as playable and/or important roles in the game. Given that it is late here, I will be writing up a full article on newly announced features and characters in the morning – but until then please enjoy the below screenshots.
Update: The following screenshots pertain to the three new characters are the reappearance of Link Artes, abilities that are formed by linking two characters together and having them fight the same enemy. The screenshots show main character Ludger teaming up with each Leia and Alvin and performing their own Unique Link Artes.
In terms of characters, those who have played the first game will be familiar with Alvin and Leia but Julius and Nova are unique to this game. Julius is the older brother of Ludger and also seems to disappear when his brother begins work leaving him with hardships. Nova on the other hand is a former classmate of our main character and now works at the town bank. It is currently uncertain if these will be eventual playable characters or just be important to the storyline.
