Namco Bandai have today released new screenshots and information on their recently announced set of Playstation Portable games “The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa”.
The game differs from the previous installments in the series from that rather being an idol raising sim it is more along the lines of a rhythm game, where you use button presses in correlation with colours that appear on screen. It is a simple mechanic that we have seen before in several games, but they might prove to have something special later down the track. A better view of this can be seen in the screenshots below.
Additionally, it was announced only a few days ago that each of the three Shiny Festa games would feature an original anime episode from the Studio A-1 Pictures. This will be included within the game and not on a separate DVD disc. There is currently no word on if this will be made available through other sources at a later date for those who prefer their anime in a higher quality DVD or Blu-ray release.
