For those who have been following the .hack series from the very beginning, these two characters need no introduction. Kite and Blackrose were two of the main characters in the four original .hack games on the Playstation 2 and have since been referenced in almost every other .hack game and anime series (The exceptions being .hack//Sign before the game was released – although they did appear in a crossover episode and .hack//G.U where only Kite was referenced). These two are to appear in Namco Bandai / CyberConnect2’s upcoming fighting game .hack//Versus, and the companies have just recently released gameplay preview videos for the two.
