When originally released, reception for Final Fantasy XIV was very lackluster, with poor reviews from a fair few media outlets and Square Enix having a sizable period where they didnt even charge for access to the game. However, they have been hard at work in developing Version 2.0 for the game – slated to bring numerous improvements to the gameplay and hopefully improve the overall experience and convince more newcomers to check out the game.
Square Enix have just recently shared the first batch of concept art / screenshots for the game update – which can be seen below.
