Recently posted by Capcom was a notice stating that since the games launch in late-May, users have uploaded 30,000 screenshots to their Pawn Community for Dragon’s Dogma. For those who are not familiar with the game, upon starting up the game you are required to design two characters – your main character “Arisen” that the storyline revolves around despite him or her being a silent protagonist and a secondary character “Pawn” who stays with you throughout the game and provides some sense of social discussion to your party. With the game allowing up to four players to a party you must recruit other custom pawns from other users worlds while your pawn is recruitable by others.
The Pawn Community accessable from the main menu is an optional feature allowing you to share screenshots of your adventures with your pawn and giving it some attention through Twitter and Facebook in order to encourage others to recruit your pawn – important to earn rift points which have several uses in the game. The Pawn Community also produces a daily “The Gran Soren Times: Pawn Community News Source” which accessable through the PC, gives further attention to users who submit their images through the service.
