20th Anniversary of Wolfenstein 3D Marked with Free-To-Play Browser Version of the Game

-

Released in 1992 by id Software for DOS systems, Wolfenstein 3D was a well received first person shooter game that has seen a few releases on other systems since the initial launch. ZeniMax Media who acquired id Software in 2009 alongside Bethesda Softworks have today announced that to mark the games 20th Anniversary, they have released a free-to-play browser version of the game which is now available at THIS LINK.

Also to celebrate this is a special Bethesda Podcast video featuring John Carmack, technical director of id Software as he provides insight to the creation and development of Wolfenstein 3D while playing the game. This can be viewed in the preview video above.
