Enjoyed Persona 2: Innocent Sin when it was released on the Playstation Portable? Would like to check out the sequel to the game but don’t have a Playstation 1 copy of the game to enjoy it on (As unlike IS, EP was released by ATLUS USA)? ATLUS has recently announced the obvious and stated that they will be releasing Persona 2: Eternal Punishment on the Playstation Portable starting from the 17th May 2012.
The games official website opened up recently and can be viewed HERE. So far only a limited amount of content is available on the website – an introduction, storyline overview, character profiles for the two recurring playable characters and specs which details a bonus item that comes with the retail version. As you will no doubt notice, sections of the site that would be of more interest such as New Elements, Movie and Special are currently blanked out.
The game itself is being released as a UMD physical release and a Playstation Network digital download version. The UMD version will set you back ¥6,279 and come with a bonus 14 track soundtrack – while the PSN edition of the game has no listed price as of this post.
