The Idolm@ster 2 on the Playstation 3 has just had its third (Relatively expensive) DLC set release consisting of the usual new songs, costumes and for the first time in any release of the game so far, the addition of an idol from a previous installment – this time with the inclusion of Ai Hidaka from The Idolm@ster Dearly Stars on the Nintendo DS. Given one of the images below mentions the “Appeal” as Miki instead of Ai, it makes me question if this is just a costume change or the actual addition of a character (Either way it would be just for the custom performance mode), but she comes with her characteristic idol outfit and can perform in two of the games songs only.
Either way, I hope this is not the only idol they bring back, as after releasing a sizable cast of characters over the years I don’t think it is just right to push all of them to the side when they could be implemented in the game (and all the while, Namco Bandai would be making money). The main DLC theme of the month is Marionette, with a lot of puppet stled costumes and accessories and the bonus DLC completion gift being an Ami and Mami puppet set…. adorable!
