To get the obvious over and done with – it would not be possible to convert Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series and put it onto the iPad or any mobile device without cutting too many corners which would render the game unplayable (At least in my opinion). However, Ubisoft have decided to release some sort of card game on the console instead. Optimised to take advantage of the multi-touch interface and large display of the platform, this game will allow gamers to experience the world of Assassin’s Creed through “political battles in a real-time board game, with key characters and locations from the original console game franchise”. Ubisoft have also stated there is around a 8 to 10 hour narrative experience with 20 story missions, taking you from Barcelone to Constantinople, alongside an online mode through the Game Centre.
You can pick up this game, alongside a complementary animated short film “Assassin’s Creed Embers” (The final chapter in Ezio’s saga) for $2.99 on the iStore.
