They say every console has what people could conceive as a mascot series. For Nintendo, that is the Super Mario series, for XBox it would most probably fall on Halo’s shoulders, however with the Playstation 2 there were a couple of contenders that may or may not have been what you could have called a mascot series. However, to me this mascot series would be Jak and Daxter, a 3D Platformer that follows the adventures of Jak and his friend Daxter through three games with progressively increasing seriousness. For about a month now little titbits of information has been revealed about the series eventually making it out in HD on the Playstation 3, such as small hints of text, classifications for the game appearing in certain countries and so forth. However, Sony Computer Entertainment has now made it official and released the above Announcement Trailer….

This game will contain the initial three games which cover the main crux of the series. The title will be released in February 2012 and will come with stereoscopic 3D, trophy support and a very nice 720p HD makeover.
