While the Nintendo Conference was primarily 3DS based, they did have some news announced relating to Skyward Sword presented by Shigeru Miyamoto. Walking onto the stage with his Master Sword and Shield (Similar to what is pictured above), he came equipped with announcements regarding the game and series. First of all, there was some basic news such as reconfirming the Zelda concert that was mentioned back at E3 and Four Sword Adventures being made available on the DS for a limited time free download… but then the presentation came to the more important announcements.

He demonstrated the control system which we have seen many times before, and I do hope I can just sit down and flail my arms around as I usually do playing Zelda (The novelty does wear off after a while). Whilst I know most game companies seem to exaggerate on their “Estimated Hours to Complete” (Example: White Knight Chronicles which went from 100 hours to something along the lines of <10 hours), they are claiming between 50 to 100 hours of play time and then post-game can face off against endgame bosses. There is also said to be approximately 100 hours of event scenes within the game.

The game is supposed to have a simultaneous release around the world on the 23rd of November and all regions should have similar bonus extras including the concert soundtrack CD and a Gold Wiimote depending on who you order from (Most stores are already promoting this in Australia at least).
