After the EB Games Expo is held in October, we will be left with another year until we get to enjoy another gaming convention… right? Well it seems like this coming February we will have another convention to enjoy – held on the Gold Coast, the same place that the EB Expo is held (Gold Coasters have all the luck eh?). This will be a smaller convention and will be focusing on both anime and games, with events to cater to each crowd.

Gamer’s Life Convention or GLC for short is a community based gaming and anime convention held at Bond University on the Gold Coast. It is a non-profit event organised by a dedicated group from the Bond Casual Gaming Society. GLC is pretty much a community gathering for anyone that is interested in gaming or anime. With gaming tournaments, anime previews, panels & guest speakers, cosplay contests, exhibitor hall, market place, a massive lan with plenty of free to play space, there is something for all types of fans.
Currently this convention is in its infancy stages – with very little information available on it, however they have slated the event to be held over two days, held on the weekend of the 18th-19th of February and will be held at Bond University. It seems however to be more focused toward the gamer who wants to see what is available instead of what is upcoming, and will have several gaming events for you to take part in (From Super Smash Bros Brawl contests to DOTA LAN parties), cosplaying, panels and so-forth.
