Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky to Receive a PAL Release 2

Gamers who were jealous about there being an official release of Legend of Heroes: Trails In The Sky in North America but with no mention of a PAL release need not be jealous anymore. This evening, Ghostlight (Responsible for bringing games such as Record of Agarest War and several Shin Megami Tensei PS2 games to the PAL regions) have just announced they have signed off on a deal to distribute the game at a to be determined date and price in the future.

This is a game series I haven’t actually heard much about prior to reading this announcement, so it was nice to be surprised about a game for once, especially since this is not the game I thought GhostLight would be announcing as their next acquisition.

Originally released in Japan on the PC in 2004, this PSP remake keeps the same design as the PC release alongside many bonus features such as small performance and design improvements and a few bonus extra features. The game is a single-player RPG which focuses on sprite-based combat (Nothing fancy from first glimpse but I do like the older RPG battle systems) and has a considerable sized collection of main and side quests.

The consensus from what I have seen, is that there is approximately 50 hours worth of gameplay in this title, which is very good for a PSP game, with Ross from the Ghostlight Team sharing that this evaluation playthrough resulted in a completed save file totalling 54 hours 30 minutes and 29 seconds, which would most probably rival my ‘Nekomata’ Playthrough of Persona 3 Portable.

Whilst they have not released much information on the game, they have stated that they will be having a Collectors Edition as always, with the usual generous amount of goodies. You can see the XSeed Official Website for the North American release at the following link: http://www.trailsinthesky.com/.

Honestly, I am always up for a good RPG, hopefully it lives up to the high expectations I now have of it.

    • Ah, thanks for confirming Ross, I will edit the article :-). Seems like you really enjoyed the game, and I am looking forward to enjoying it when it is released in the coming months!

        • Well, I would want a PAL release for one… oh wait, you guys already have that covered!…. Nothing else needed then =P. Look forward to hearing more about an official release date and the collectors edition in the future.
