Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP) – New Preview Trailer

-

In a current handheld game industry where every company is either trying to scratch the back of Nintendo with their upcoming 3DS by flooding it with 3D remakes, it is good to see that the PSP, a console that has brought so many good games is still getting the attention of companies such as Atlus. This is a remake of the first Persona 2 game for the PS1, however unlike the second one in the Persona 2 set (Eternal Punishment), this game never hit our shores due to questionable subject matter at the time (Even through usually an original game is needed to have a sequel released). Therefore, this is technically a new game for our shores.

This trailer shows a few of the old/new features such as:

  • The Interface
  • The third person perspective map view.
  • The battle system – which has had less of an overhaul then what Persona 1 PSP did.
  • Some of the new soundtrack
  • Some of the new character designs.
  • The demon “talk” system
  • A special, so far unknown mode called Theater Mode….. I don’t know much about it however I have noticed the lady that appears in the trailer for it is wearing 3D glasses…. HD PS3 movie support or something?

I have actually had the pleasure of playing Eternal Punishment (I found a second-hand copy of it) and Innocent Sin (Took me a while but I also managed to track down a copy of it). Whilst I will save the review of Innocent Sin until the PSP game hits our shores, I intend on reviewing Eternal Punishment once I get a chance to finish it.

Anyway, enjoy the trailer and I hope to keep you up to date with everything about this game, and hopefully an English release announcement…. and hopefully the 3DS taking up a lot of publishers attention won’t result in this game being missed…..
