While the Queens have had some time away off Australian stages following multiple years of touring Australia, Australian theatrical producers Louise Withers, Michael Coppel and Linda Lewick have confirmed that Six the Musical will be returning to audiences across the country from mid-2026. The production will begin its run in Melbourne at the Comedy Theatre in July 2026. Following this season, the show will travel to the Theatre Royal Sydney in October 2026, before concluding with a season at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Playhouse Theatre in Brisbane starting in January 2027.
Prior to the return of the live stage show, a filmed version of the production will be made available in cinemas. SIX the Musical Live!, which was filmed at the Vaudeville Theatre in London featuring the original West End cast. Australian audiences will be able to view the film in select cinemas from 8 January 2026, marking the first time the film has been screened outside of the UK and Ireland.
Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX reimagines the lives of the six wives of King Henry VIII: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. The 80-minute production presents these historical figures as pop stars who take to the microphone to tell their own stories, stepping out of the shadow of their husband.

Australian audiences have embraced the Queens with such passion and enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to share this next chapter of the show’s journey with them.
The production features book, lyrics, and music by Marlow and Moss. It is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The creative team also includes set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse.
