Disney’s Beauty and the Beast the Musical to Make Its Adelaide Debut Next Month

Date:

After touring across Australian over the past couple of years, Disney Theatrical Productions’ iconic musical Beauty and the Beast will make its Adelaide debut next month at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre. Opening on 8 May 2025, this marks the first time the musical, the first crafted by Disney, will be performed in the city.

Retaining its lead cast of actors from the original Sydney leg of the national tour, the Australian cast is led by Shubshri Kandiah as Belle and Brendan Xavier as the Beast, supported by Rohan Browne, Gareth Jacobs, Jayde Westaby, and more.

In a commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the Adelaide season will include a relaxed performance on 14 June, held in partnership with Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) and Autism SA. This performance has been tailored to accommodate audience members with sensory sensitivities and other support needs. Adjustments include reduced sound, dimmed house lights, increased staff support, and dedicated quiet spaces. Additional visual and verbal cues will be used to help audience members anticipate significant moments in the performance.

Tickets for Beauty and the Beast are now on sale for performances through to 6 July 2025 via the musical’s official website. Ticket prices start at $50 with no additional transaction fees.
