Following seasons in the United States and United Kingdom, the musical comedy Here You Come Again, featuring the greatest hits of Dolly Parton, is set to tour Australia later this year. Officially produced with Parton’s approval, the production includes well-known songs such as Jolene, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, and I Will Always Love You.
Aiming to be a heartwarming and humorous show, Here You Come Again tells the story of a devoted fan who finds support and guidance from his imagined version of Dolly Parton during a challenging time. The Australian production will star Tricia Paoluccio, who co-created the show and reprises her role as Dolly. She will be joined by Australian performer Dash Kruck (Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar) and an all-Australian ensemble, accompanied by a live band who are set to be confirmed over the coming months.

The production will debut at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on 10 July 2025 before heading to Theatre Royal Sydney from 12 September 2025. Dates and venues for Perth, Canberra, Newcastle, and Adelaide are yet to be announced. Pre-sale tickets for Sydney and Melbourne are available today via the musical’s official website, with general sales commencing on 14 March.
The musical was co-created by two-time Emmy Award-winning writer and songwriter Bruce Vilanch, along with director Gabriel Barre and Paoluccio. The Australian adaptation, produced by Tinderbox Productions, is by Fiona Harris and Mike McLeish, with musical direction by Andrew Worboys and lighting design by Jason Bovaird.
