Have you watched the film adaptation and now want to experience Wicked in its full on-stage theatrical glory? Following seasons in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the musical has been performing at the Perth Crown Theatre since late-2024. Be warned that approximately two weeks remain until the winds will blow the musical across the ocean to Singapore, with the final Australian season performance to take place on Sunday 2 February 2025.
Leading the cast are Courtney Monsma as Glinda, the ambitious and bubbly character who evolves into “Glinda the Good,” and Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, the misunderstood girl with emerald-green skin who becomes the “Wicked Witch of the West”. Other members of the principal cast include Todd McKenney as the Wizard, Jennifer Vuletic as Madame Morrible, Liam Head as Fiyero and Chelsea Dean as Elphaba’s sister Nessarose – among others.
Tickets for the Perth performances start at $79, with limited availability as the final weeks approach. For more information on ticket bookings, visit the musical’s official website. Check out my full review of the Brisbane season for my thoughts on this production.
