Pre-Sale Commences for Inaugural Australian Season of Frozen the Musical

-

If you have relished not hearing Let It Go incessantly played everywhere you go as was the case when Disney’s animated feature film Frozen first hit cinemas worldwide in 2013, you may only have that relief for a little while longer, with the animated sequel Frozen 2 due to arrive in cinemas next month. However in Australia, this is not the only Frozen related production you will either get to experience or at least experience the hype for in the next twelve months. Following Australian tours of the absolutely amazing The Lion King the Musical which really deserves a third journey around the country and the hysterical Aladdin the Musical, Disney Theatrical Productions Australia will be bringing Frozen the Musical to the Capitol Theatre in Sydney from July 2020.

As of today for those theatre fans who signed up for a waitlist, pre-sales for the Sydney season have commenced. The pre-sale will run until 11.59pm AEDT on Thursday 24 October 2019, where the remaining pre-sale tickets and presumably others will be available for anyone to purchase. 125 sessions have currently gone on sale, from 7 July 2019 until Sunday 25 October 2019. It is currently unknown how long the season will run for.

Frozen the Musical first performed on Broadway in 2018 where it still runs to this day. Similar to other musical adaptations by Disney Theatrical Productions, this will follow the same core story as the animated feature it is based off, however features new plot elements, a wealth of new songs including the amazing new song “Monster” and more.

So the all important question…. how much should you expect to spend for a seat to watch Frozen the Musical? Ticket prices may change without notice and will vary dependent on seating location and performance day/date/time – but the current price ranges are as follows:

Wednesday Matinee / Friday Evening / Sunday Evening
$60.00 – $199.50

Wednesday Evening / Thursday Evening
$49.50 – $199.50

Saturday Matinee / Saturday Evening / Saturday Evening
$70.00 – $199.50

Ultimately the upper price tier is currently consistent across all performances, but the lower tiers change depending on which day of the week you wish to see the performance. Keep in mind that price points / different reserves can be reflective of how good your view is of the stage.
