
The 52-Storey Treehouse, a book originally crafted by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton will soon be coming to life at the Arts Centre Melbourne. A stage play adaptation by Richard Tulloch is set to be performed in the Playhouse Theatre from April 1st to 17th, and is a perfect choice for young theatre enthusiasts aged six and over.
This production involves the same creative team who adapting prior books The 13-Storey Treehouse and The 26-Story Treehouse, and is set to potentially be the final adaptation for this series.
The 52-Storey Treehouse takes place on a very special day. It’s Andy’s birthday, but Terry has forgotten! To make matters worse Mr Big Nose has mysteriously disappeared and Jill has fallen into a deep sleep and they just can’t wake her up. Andy and Terry set off on a crazy adventure tackling a world of startling obstacles including a hungry caterpillar, an angry vegetable kingdom and a 100 year ninja-snail epic voyage. Will they solve the mysteries and survive the dangers that test even their ingenuity?
Cannot make it to the Arts Centre Melbourne? The 52-Storey Treehouse will be doing a national tour, with multiple stops planned across the country.
