Cats Begins Brisbane Season at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Lyric Theatre

Following legs in New Zealand as well as several Australian states these past few months, Cats the Musical has begin its Brisbane run at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Lyric Theatre.

This production is based on the new London Palladium version of Cats, with Australian songstress Delta Goodrem starring in the role of Grizabella. She will be joined on-stage by a sizable cast of Australian talent. The female cats will include Amy Berrisford as Dementer, Dominique Hamilton as Rumpleteazer, Ashleigh Hauschild as Tantomile, Jade Hui-Wen Coutts as Victoria / The White Cat), Emily Keane as Cassandra, Sarah Landy as Bombalurina, Holly Meegan as Jennyanydots, Samantha Morley as Jellylorum / Griddlebone and Stephanie Silcock as Jemima. The male felines include Daniel Assetta as Rum Rum Tugger, James Cooper as Admetus / Macavity, Christopher Favaloro as Mr Mistoffelees, Keanu Gonzalez as Alonzo / Rumpus Cat, Ross Hannaford as Skimbleshanks, Brent Osborne as Mungojerrie, Josh Piterman as Bustopher Jones / Gus / Growltiger, Taylor Scanlan as Bill Bailey, Jason Wasley as Old Deuteronomy and Patrick Whitbread as Coricopat.

Originally produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group Limited, this Australian tour if Cats is being presented by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, David Atkins Enterprises and BASE Entertainment Asia in association with The Really Useful Group

Cats is being held in the QPAC Lyric Theatre from now until its final show on 14 February 2016, making it a lot shorter than many other stage musicals which have appeared on the Lyric Theatre stage the last year. Tickets are priced at $74.90 – $139.90, with prices depending on session choice, seating preference and concession status. Tickets can be purchased via the QPAC website or box office.
