10968218_10152757980703510_7584893087892686830_nTo celebrate their 30th Anniversary, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) have launched a number of programs and hosted several events to mark this milestone. These range from asking the community for their QPAC Story and offering discounted tickets for select shows to those under 30 years old, to hosting an exhibition celebrating their history. But with November now upon us, you would be wrong to think that QPAC don’t have a few more opportunities to offer the community.

QPAC have today launched a new two-tier membership program, which will allow members to receive savings when visiting the centre, with additional benefits also available depending on which tier you purchase.

The first membership tier is $75, which will give you ‘Silver Membership’. This provides a number of benefits including priority booking periods, zero transaction fees on ticket purchases, discounts across QPAC dining venues and a reduction in the price of pre-paid booking.

The second membership tier is considerably pricier at $185, which will give you ‘Gold Membership’. In addition to all Silver Membership perks, Gold Member benefits include drink vouchers, a 12 month digital subscription to The Courier-Mail and other news sources , one 12 month e-magazine subscription (to titles such as Vogue Australia, GQ and Donna Hay), eBooks, member-only events and a number of monthly entertainment, lifestyle rewards and special offers. Some of these offers are powered by a membership to the The Courier-Mail+ Club. While value will vary between individuals, I personally subscribed to this tier.

Subscriptions are valid for 12 months, with subscription periods set to begin on 1st December 2015. Early adopters who purchase a membership before 1st December 2015 will receive 13 months of membership from the start date (Until 31st December 2016).

John Kotzas | QPAC Chief Executive

Over the last three decades we have continuously encouraged deep connections with Queensland communities in and through the arts. The focus has been on delivering programs and activities that are relevant and attract a broad audience. Last financial year our visitation grew to over 1.4 million and a third of those attended a free event.

We are continuing to focus on understanding our communities and working with them to create arts based experiences. Our new membership program is an important element in that conversation.

Coming to QPAC is about more than what people see on our stages. Our two tiers of Membership are designed to offer both savings, richer experiences and added value all year round.
