Granted the show is not set to have its opening night until Wednesday August 5 2015 at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, as highlighted by the official Matilda the Musical Australia Facebook page, there is less than a month to go until shows begin once you factor in preview sessions. Previews are set to be held at least once a day from Tuesday 28 July to Sunday 2 August, followed by regular sessions until at least Sunday 8 November 2015.
Although this does not exclude the very likely possibility that Matilda the Musical will travel to other states in Australia / New Zealand in 2015/2016 and beyond, this show is currently only confirmed to be held at the Sydney Lyric Theatre to date.
