You DARE Steal My Doughnut? – Take That (In-Game) Snap

Lalafell may be the perfect embodiment of cuteness (or anarchy depending on whom you ask). However, if you dare cross them in a wrong way such as by stealing a doughnut they saved for a tasty treat later on or compare them to a popoto… then you had better be prepared for the consequences. Like this unfortunate chap!

When it comes to taking snaps within housing wards in Final Fantasy XIV, striking dummies should be considered an essential tool in any photographers arsenal. While it is not usually possible to use combat animations outside of battle zones, by striking a dummy with a skill of your choosing, it will save that animation for use in the game’s GPOSE mode. You can end up with some exciting photo opportunities by doing this.

Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo is an off-shoot of the Take That (In-Game) Snap article series, in which the first article focusing on Final Fantasy XIV was recently published. This looks at, celebrates and critiques how video game developers have implemented professional photography-like systems into their games. It will cover how the systems handle, just how accessible they are and, where applicable, how a modding community might be making these tools even better. With this Daily Photo spin-off series, I will be sharing individual photos from the games either covered or soon-to-be-covered in the series.
