As I begin typing this, it has been only a few minutes since arriving home from my evening at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre to attend the Opening Night of Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage.

In terms of covering today’s launch, it is my intention to post both a complete review of the show and my Q&A interview with Mark Vincent (Who plays Billy Kostecki) in the next few days. Due to my slightly hectic schedule until at least June 1, I cannot give more specific dates regarding publication of these articles.

In other news, I would like to confirm an alteration to my theatre reviews from this point onwards. My previous reviews of stage productions have involved six individual criteria – each weighted differently: Storyline/Character Development, Performance, Stage, Music, Props / Costuming and Personal Opinion. As I often attend these shows with a guest, my reviews will now include a seventh score: Guest Score. This will have minimal weighting towards the overall score which is based upon my own decisions, however will offer a second overall opinion to my own.

As I am fairly exhausted, I am going to lie down and relax for a few hours. More news and other articles will begin being posted up in the morning.
