Akogare Records and Bandai Namco Music Live Inc. has announced a collaboration concert featuring singer-songwriter Mekakushe and artist Yuka Nagase. The event, titled Mekakushe × Yuka Nagase Collaboration Live “Sekai ga Utsukushii Kara Dayo”, will take place on 7 February 2025 at SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASURE in Tokyo. Tickets are now available for pre-sale, running until 15 December 2024.
The live performance serves as the culmination of the pair’s collaborative project Sekai ga Utsukushii Kara Dayo (Because the World is Beautiful), a three-part narrative expressed through music. The project’s final song, Katsute, Chikyuu wa Shirokatta (The Earth Was Once White), released on 27 November, is available for streaming on major platforms. Inspired by the Heisei era, the song reflects on themes of loss and cherishing memories. Its music video and cover art, created in collaboration with illustrator Anbiyori, aim to capture the nostalgia and emotional depth of the era.
Sekai ga Utsukushii Kara Dayo seeks to explore deeply introspective themes, blending dreamlike imagery and profound emotional resonance. The song’s arrangement, crafted by Kosuke Hayashi of Scenarioart, features a blend of Wurlitzer and jazz piano, complementing the lyrical reflections on humanity and loss.
Tickets are priced at ¥16,500 for premium seating, which includes a signed canvas artwork, or ¥7,700 for reserved seating. For more information on the event and the ongoing collaborative project, visit the official ticket page.
