Gamemusic Records has announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 vinyl albums are now open for pre-order in both Standard and Deluxe editions. This collaboration between Gamemusic Records, Larian Studios, and the game’s composer Borislav Slavov aims to deliver an “outstanding musical experience to you in a way that does justice to both the game and the soundtrack itself”.
The Standard Edition consists of three 12-inch vinyl discs (3x 180-gram LP), packaged in a gatefold jacket with antistatic sleeves. The artwork, crafted by Magdalena Katańska, covers each side of the jacket and includes a panoramic painting on the inside, with references to the game’s world and characters. The discs are produced in a mix of black and purple colors, symbolizing the Mind Flayers from the Forgotten Realms universe.
The Deluxe Edition, only available during the pre-order campaign, changes the inner sleeves to six original paintings of Origin Characters, celebrating the game’s heroes. This edition also features discs in varying color mixes to reflect the characters’ pairings and relationships. It comes in a magnetic closure box set that mimics an ancient grimoire and includes a booklet with the piano score of a notable game track and extended liner notes.
Pre-orders can be made through the Gamemusic Records Online Store and the Larian Merch Store. While the Standard Edition will continue to be available, the Deluxe Edition is exclusive to the pre-order period. Estimated worldwide shipping for both versions is set for the Summer of 2024 (Winter 2024 for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere).
