After one year of tirelessly waiting since the festivities of 2014, film fans on the Gold Coast and surrounding regions have only one week to go until the annual Gold Coast Film Festival begins its 2015 season. To be held between April 9th and 19th, this event will play host to 75 local / Australian / international feature films, in addition to a number of other industry seminars and special guests.
Due to the cinemas at Pacific Fair being closed for renovations, which are unlikely to be completed until late-2015 at the earliest, the Gold Coast Film Festival hub has been moved to The Arts Centre Gold Coast. Additional venues include Bitch Carroll and Coyle Coolangatta, Helensvale Library & Culture Centre, Palm Beach Parklands and Robina Common (With the Robina screening of Paddington to include a teddy bear picnic!).
With the event only a week away, I will be doing a daily post on my “Top Picks” of Gold Coast Film Festival 2015. This will be started today, and will continue until the festival kicks-off on Thursday, April 9th 2015.
