It may be a little bit of a pain for those whose wallets are still recovering from the recent fee-free campaign period Skeb held mere weeks ago. However, to celebrate some positive numbers for the service, another fee-free campaign period will be held from midnight tonight (JST) until 23:59 (JST) on 2 May 2022. Furthermore, and an oddity for the online service, boost fees (rewards for artists by clients who think they did a good job) will also be fee-free during the same period.
While this fee-free period means no change for clients, for the artists and other creatives on the service, it meant that they would receive the full cut of money earned from requests they take via the service. Therefore, theoretically, they would be more interested in accepting proposals for a slightly lower fee or be keener on opening/accepting commissions in general.
So… why the celebration so close to their most recent one? As of today, Skeb has confirmed the total number of registered users to the service has exceeded 2 million, and furthermore, the number of registered creators as passed the 100,000 mark since first launching on 30 November 2018. Providing further stats, in total 750,000 requests have been sent with approximately 50,000 now sent to creatives per month. Furthermore, the monthly transaction volume of requests approved and delivered sits at about 420 million yen (Almost 3.3 million USD). Not too shabby at all.
