Skeb Unveil Japan-Only Print Service, No Request Fee Campaign

While this is unfortunately only accessible to those in Japan, at least at this time, the Skeb.jp Artwork Commissioning service has unveiled that from today – a special Print and Deliver service is on offer. With prices ranging from approximately 8,000 yen to 15,000 yen, this service allows clients to request any of the artwork they have commissioned and have it delivered to them bound to an acrylic panel or framed.

But what if your commissioned artwork was small? According to Skeb, the average resolution of delivered illustrations is less than 2,500px per size – which they claim is not always suitable for printing. Therefore, they will enlarge the image using AI processing, which will hopefully give a much clearer image when it arrives on your doorstep. An example of this can be found below:

Variable print and frame sizes are also possible to suit any living room environment. So you could go A3 or B4 – or alternatively – bespoke dimensions to showcase that perfect art perfectly above the fireplace. For more information on this service (Japanese Only), click HERE.

To celebrate 1.5 million registered users and this new feature being introduced, Skeb has also confirmed that from 1-10 October 2021, they have reduced request fees down to 0% (Aka. No Request Fees). While this means no change for clients, for the artists and other creatives on the service, it meant that they would receive the full cut of money earned from requests they take via the service. Therefore, theoretically, they would be more interested in accepting proposals for a slightly lower fee or be keener on opening/accepting commissions in general.
