When it comes to detailing the artwork and conceptualisation of the characters, setting and lore of THQ’s long-running Darksiders video game franchise, Udon Entertainment has been the company to look to for a few years now. In the last few years they have released individual artbooks for each title in the series – Darksiders, Darksiders II and Darksiders III – each of which can be picked up from today at an MSRP of $49.99 USD. Following the release of Darksiders Genesis earlier this month, a prequel spin-off to the numbered titles, Udon Entertainment have followed as expected an announced plans to release The Art of Darksiders Genesis.
To be released on 30 June 2020 in North America at an MSRP of $49.99 USD, this will be a hardcover publication coming in at 240 pages in length. The game features the return of series creator Joe Madureira alongside his development studio Airship Syndicate, and this artbook will feature his signature art style synonymous with the Darksiders series among its pages. Fans can expect to find much in this design compendium including detailed character designs, rough concepts, environments, storyboards and more.
