CD Projekt RED has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the upcoming anime returning viewers to Night City, the dystopian metropolis also featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 game. The series follows a new cast of characters in a standalone story exploring the city and the concept of being an edgerunner. The trailer features the song “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, written specifically for the series.
The anime is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno. The story is written by Bartosz Sztybor of CD Projekt Red alongside Masahiko Otsuka. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix.
Alongside the trailer, CD Projekt Red has released the main promotional artwork for the series. The artwork was created by Ichigo Kanno, who handled the original illustration, Yukiko Kakita, who oversaw ink and colour, and Yuichiroh Tozawa, who worked on composition.
CD Projekt Red will also attend Anime Expo in Los Angeles, running from 2 to 5 July 2026. On 3 July 2026, the studio will hold a panel dedicated to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, including an exclusive screening of the series’ first episode. The panel will include showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder and director Kai Ikarashi, as well as voice actor Nazeeh Tarsha, who plays the character D in the series. The discussion will be hosted by content creator Danny Motta.
