Looking forward to the upcoming anime season in Japan, anime streaming platform HIDIVE has confirmed that How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer (Aka. Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi | 合コンに行ったら女がいなかった話) will exclusively appear on their platform as part of their Fall 2024 simulcast lineup. The anime, based on the manga by Nana Aokawa, will begin streaming on HIDIVE in October 2024.
To give fans an early look, HIDIVE is hosting the world premiere of the first… and seventh (yes, seventh) episodes today at Anime NYC 2024, being held at the Javits Center.
John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming release, stating:

How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer follows a college student named Tokiwa, who gets invited to a mixer by his female classmate Suo. But when he arrives with his friends Asagi and Hagi, they’re greeted by three dazzlingly handsome men. Turns out these three cute boys are actually women in drag—still in costume from their day jobs at a butler cafe that caters to a female clientele! As the six get to know each other, they soon find themselves getting closer in unexpectedly heartwarming (and hilarious) ways.
How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer is based on a manga that began online in March 2020 and was subsequently serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Online in February 2021. The series currently spans seven volumes, with an English version available on Square Enix’s Manga UP! mobile app. The anime adaptation is produced by Ashi Productions, featuring direction by Kazuomi Koga, scriptwriting by Deko Akao, and character design by Yoko Tanable, who also serves as the chief animation director. The main cast includes Mikako Komatsu as Suo, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Tokiwa, and Takehito Kajiwara as Hagi.
