English Dubbed Episodes of ‘Dororo’ TV Anime to Stream on HIDIVE This January

For those who have chosen to forgo the multi-language home video release of 2019 TV anime Dororo but still wish to enjoy the show in every way possible, you will be able to enjoy the complete series with English dubbing on HIDIVE from January 2023. The streaming service has confirmed that, while the show was previously streamed on other platforms with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles, they will be the exclusive home of the show’s English dub from next year.

Dororo is a 24-episode TV anime directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Hunter x Hunter) and written by Yasuko Kobayashi (Attack on Titan), and is the newest adaptation of the Dororo manga series by legendary mangaka Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy).

The show’s English dub features the talent of Adam Gibbs (Tokyo Ghoul:re) as Hyakkimaru, Chaney Moore (Food Wars!) as Dororo, Ty Mahany (Baki) as Jukai and Patricia Duran (Princess Principal) as Nuinokata. On the Japanese audio side, viewers can enjoy the voice work of Hiroki Suzuki (Kamen Rider Decade) as Hyakkimaru, Rio Suzuki (Modest Heroes) as Dororo, Akio Otsuka (Mob Psycho 100) as Jukai and Chie Nakamura (Naruto) as Nuinokata.

About Dororo

During the Warring States period, the young thief Dororo encounters the enigmatic Hyakkimaru, a strange sightless boy who wields fearsome prosthetics in place of his missing limbs. Parts of Hyakkimaru’s body, skin and organs were traded to a group of 12 demons by his father in exchange for power and prosperity. Thanks to a kindly medicine man, Hyakkimaru survived this horrifying ordeal and now wanders the land in search of his missing body parts. Together, he and Dororo will fight to survive in a demon-plagued, dangerous and unforgiving world.
