Dragon Ball Anime Franchise Library Now Available via CrunchyRoll

Wanting to relive your memories of watching Dragon Ball Z before school every morning? Wish to rewatch a show that has gone on for so many seasons? Finally curious about what all the hubbub is about? As of today, anime fans in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada are able to tune into the complete seasons of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT via CrunchyRoll, delivering a grand total of 508 episodes for you to binge.

This is one of the first major announcements to follow the major change unveiled at the start of the month, that Funimation’s streaming platform (Which the beloved Australian streaming service AnimeLab recently merged into) would itself be merging into CrunchyRoll. With multiple platforms amalgamating into one service, perhaps more franchises like this could make their way to being easily streamable.

The Dragon Ball phenomena began in 1984 in Japan when the original manga series from Akira Toriyama premiered in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump.” It quickly became a top ranked title throughout its ten and a half years of publication and its popularity has not waned with an astonishing record of 260-million copies sold worldwide and counting. Now 38 years later, Dragon Ball has grown into a global franchise which today includes four TV series, 20 feature films, numerous video game titles and a vast collection of licensed merchandise.
