Ticket Sales Commence for Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna’s 20th Anniversary Theatrical Event

Watching Digimon: Digital Monsters as a child in the early-2000s was a daily ritual. Although the conclusion at the end of the first TV Season would have been more than fitting, the narrative has continued over the last twenty years through a second season featuring new and returning DigiDestined, and a sextet of cinematic OVAs much more recently. To serve as the “last adventure of Tai and Agumon” at least, Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna is due to conclude 20 years of adventures.

Toei Animation and Fathom Events will be doing a one-night-only big-screen release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna in select cinemas across the United States on 25 March 2020. Tickets are now available for purchase from participating cinema box offices and the Fathom Events website. All sessions around the country will commence at 7.00 pm local time. There is no confirmation of screenings of this film in Canada, Europe, Australia or New Zealand to date, nor of a more extensive US screening outside of this evening.

Those attending the screenings will experience 15-minute pre-show featuring interviews with the film’s Director, Tomohisa Taguchi and Chief Animation Director, Seiji Tatsukawa.

Want to catch up on everything related to Digimon Adventure? The original TV seasons first licensed by Saban Entertainment in the late-90s and early 2000s are now available to purchase from Cinedigm through online and physical retailers across the United States. The 6-part OVA film collection Digimon Adventure Tri have been licensed and published by Funimation Entertainment and features voice work from a number of the original English voice cast.

About Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna

Tai is now a university student, living alone, working hard at school, and working every day, but with his future still undecided. Meanwhile, Matt and others continue to work on Digimon incidents and activities that help people with partner Digimon. An unprecedented phenomenon occurs and the DigiDestined discovers that when you grow up, your relationship with your partner Digimon will come closer to an end.

As a countdown timer activates on the Digivice, they realize that the more you fight with their Partner Digimon, the faster their bond breaks. Will you fight for others and lose your partner? The time to choose and decide is approaching fast. There is a short time before “chosen children” will become adults. This is the last adventure of Tai and Agumon.
