After supporting a number of anime conventions and festivals over the years, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have opted to take a different approach from the norm, and kick off their own weekend event. After making a range of announcements over the past few months relating to everything from special guests in attendance to partnerships, the inaugural Madman Anime Festival will all be over this time in a fortnight.
But with the event so close, now is the time to get out your notepad and decide what you will be doing over the two-day festival. Madman Entertainment have launched their entire schedule online, with events ranging from themed panels with special guests (Including ‘Anime Insights: Sword Art Online’ with guests from the SAO Creative Team and an ‘EVANGELION Fan Panel’ featuring Yuko Miyamura, Tiffany Grant and Matt Freenfield), normal convention events such as a cosplay parade and more.

The event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on September 3rd-4th 2016 from 10am to 6pm daily. Due to a conflict in my schedule, I will not be in attendance, but hope to be at events in the years to come.
