Following the North American Premium and Standard Edition releases of Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea (Aka. Nagi no Asukara or 凪のあすから) by Nippon Ichi Software America, Australian anime publisher Siren Visual have opened pre-orders for their own DVD collection of the series.
Unlike North America, the Australian release of A Lull in the Sea will only be available on DVD, and seemingly published across two individually dated half-season collections. The first, now available to pre-order, will be priced at $44.95 and will be available on September 22nd 2015. Dual-audio will be available, so fans can watch this series with either the original Japanese or the newly commissioned English dub. Pre-orders for A Lull in the Sea be made via the official Siren Visual Online Store.
As for Part 2 and a potential Blu-ray release, Siren Visual have mentioned they are aiming for a November/December 2015 release for a Complete Series Blu-ray edition (Across triple Blu-ray discs). The publisher has also confirmed they are working on getting some copies of the limited edition Blu-ray set available in Australia as well, although don’t have a fixed date.
Official Synopsis for A Lull in the Sea
Some who longed for the land abandoned the ocean, casting off the special raiments granted to them by the sea god to adapt them to life under the sea…
Though mankind was divided into sea dwellers and land dwellers, each with different ways of thinking, they were all still fellow humans and they continued to maintain contact as time went on.
Sakishima Hikari, Mukaido Manaka, Hiradaira Chisaki, and Isaki Kaname live in an undersea village, while Kihara Tsumugu lives on land. When these middle school second-year land and sea dwellers meet for the first time, their hearts begin to undulate like the tides.
The youthful fantasy tale of these young people’s lives unfolds in a strange and beautiful world.
