The team behind SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show have announced they will be hosting their inaugural anime music concert, titled: ‘I ♥ ANISONG X SMASH!’. This event will be held on August 8 2015, the first day of SMASH!, from 6:45PM until 10:00PM.
For this one evening, fans of anime and Japanese pop-culture can purportedly “look forward to a vivid music concert, taking Japanese pop-culture to a whole new level in Australia“. Time will tell if the event manages to hit the mark.
Jointly organised by SOZO, TWH International and SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show, this concert features a sizable line-up including J-Pop duo GARNiDELiA (Kill la Kill, Irregular at Magic High School), DJ Hello Kitty, Vocaloid and anime music producer kz(livetune) and J-Pop artist yanaginagi (Waiting in the Summer, Jormungand). With the exception of kz(livetune), these artists will all be making their Australian debuts at SMASH! 2015.

Unfortunately this is not an event which is included with general admission or completely free, and comes at a not-so-insignificant price-tag. Front Row Seating (Platinum) will set you back $150, while Mid-Row Seating (Gold) comes at $120 and standing room at the back will still cost a considerable $80.
