Nippon Ichi Software America surprised anime fans last year by announcing that they would be producing an English dub for Toradora!. This followed years of them being in the anime industry and releasing all bar one other series they acquired with only the original Japanese dub (The exception being Cardcaptor Sakura which came with the Animax Uncut Dub). Several months down the track and NIS America have confirmed they are now hard at work on their second English Dub – for A Lull in the Sea (Nagi no Asukara | 凪のあすから).

For release in North America on June 30th 2015, this 26-episode anime series will be released in one Premium Edition collection with dual-audio (English and Japanese). The Premium Edition will feature all episodes across 3-discs, and will also come with an assortment of goodies to support its $179.99 MSRP price tag including: a hardcover full-colour 76-page artbook, an artbox to store everything in and 2 CD soundtracks consisting of 60 songs in total. There will also be an assortment of on-disc extras such as clean OP/ED sequences and the original Japanese trailers.

Those who don’t want to pay that much for an anime series will eventually be able to purchase a standard DVD only edition at a later date. Unfortunately, NIS America have not hinted at a release date for this edition – and it could still be several months away.

Australian anime publisher Siren Visual have also mentioned that they have plans to announce an Australian release date for A Lull in the Sea in the coming months. Expect to hear more on this soon as well.

Long ago, humans lived in the sea. However, some humans defied the Sea God and moved to the land, creating the division that now exists between Shioshishio, the Sea Village, and Oshiooshi, the village of the land. Now, four middle school students from the Sea Village, Manaka Mukaido, Hikari Sakishima, Chisaki Hiradaira, and Kaname Isaki must attend Mihama Middle School on the land. While getting used to their new lives, these four and their new friend from the land, Tsumugu Kihara, learn how true bonds of love and friendship can overcome any separation.
