It doesn’t seem like A-1 Pictures has given up on adapting Persona 4 just yet, with ATLUS announcing that there will be an adaptation of the PlayStation Vita enhanced remake “Persona 4 Golden” titled “Persona 4 the Golden Animation” set to air in Japan beginning July 2014.
Currently it is unknown what direction they will be taking with this animation, but it is clear that they will be focusing on new character Marie at the very least. Marie is not a playable character in the Vita remake, however appears in the Velvet Room, has her own social link and plays a significant role in the new content that takes place between January and February in-game.
