North American publisher of more classic anime titles, Discotek Media, have announced that they will be releasing Chi’s Sweet Home and Chi’s Sweet Home: Chi’s New Address, anime adaptations of Kanata Konami’s original manga works. Currently there has been no release date announced, with the listing just containing the words “coming soon”. I will however admit that this is now one of the anime releases for 2014 that I am most excited about, with it being simple but incredibly cute.
Chi’s Sweet Home is a series of 208 bite-sized episodes released over two seasons of 104 episodes. It follows a young kitten by the name of Chi who after wandering away from her family is adopted by the Yamada family. Over the course of the series, she begins to learn about different things about the world.
Now the question remains…. will an Australian anime publisher be picking this up?
