While some of you may already be aware of this Premium Edition set as it accidently appeared on the NIS America online store briefly around the middle of last week. However that issue aside, Nippon Ichi Software America has formally announced the Ghastly Prince Enma Burning Up Complete Series Premium Edition (Yes, that is a very long title) which is slated for release on the 11th September 2012.
So what comes with their premium edition set you might wonder? Well for one thing it comes in a BIG hardcover box to store everything in, and from past experience these boxes are durable and provide ample space for everything (Usually this is two slim DVD covers and an artbook). Secondly, you get the entire series on both DVD and Blu-ray, each spanning two discs each. Finally, you are treated with their obligatory hardcover artbook which spans over 36 pages and explores the show’s outrageous world and characters, with detailed bios, illustrations, concept art, roundtable discussions with cast and crew, and an all-new interview with the original author, Go Nagai himself!
Meet the Demon Patrol: a hotheaded demon prince; a sultry, half-naked ice princess; a lusty frog-demon spy; a talking wizard hat… Plus a little girl shows up. This rag-tag group has been charged with the protection of Earth from a multitude of demons who would love nothing more than to bring their world crashing down around them. They’ll face off against a vengeful squid, a somnambulant kittycat, a pot full of snakes, a night-stalking deciduous, a hater of crotches, and even a literal butthead! Descend into an unreality filled with pratfalls, lewd behavior, and enough obscure cultural jetsam to drown us all!
