Anime producer and distributor Right Stuf Inc and more specifically its Nozomi Entertainment division have recently announced Boogiepop Phantom: Complete TV Series DVD Set which is due to be released on the 5th June 2012. This new, value-priced DVD collection will include the entire 12-episode anime TV series in a single keepcase.
The series was originally aired in January 2000, making it one of the first anime series of last decade and has since then been released in several English sets, with this one being the newest. The series was developed by Studio Madhouse with direction by Takashi Watanabe and a concept by Sadayuki Murai. You will be able to purchase this set from the companies RightStuf anime store, and I assume other retailers of anime titles around North America.
For those not familiar with the series, I have included the series synopsis below… however you can also read more about the series and their previously released sets HERE.
Five years ago, a string of grisly murders shook the city to its core. Now terror has returned, and this time it has a name: Boogiepop.
