Noticed a Madman Entertainment title reviewed on this website but don’t have the money to purchase it at the moment? Do you happen to have some creative talent or are you clever with words? Then this months Fanzone Competition is sure to get your attention. Every month, Madman chooses a theme and the community have to create their own piece of art or other media that corresponds with the theme they chose.
This month they are doing Motivational Posters (See one to the left that I did in very early 2007). This gives quite a lot of freedom in what you can to and also relies on your creativity in writing as much as your design technique or implementation of anime artwork. Here is the official blurb on the contest:
You’ve seen them, from the cutesy kitty cat and the poignant “Hang in there”, to the one word definitions like DETERMINATION, and a picture of a mountain. A sporting hero overcoming incredible odds (or terrible injuries).
Then, you’ve seen how crazy the motivational posters got when they became an internet meme. Well folks, its time to add to the zeitgeist.
Create your own motivational poster and make it as subversive and crazy as you like (But keep it clean!) and use Anime characters, settings, or iconography to make your inspirational message.
You can do it!
HOW TO ENTER:
Upload your art with a brief description of the characters, the scene, what anime they come from and your motivational message.
If this is also clear from your artwork, all the better!
Artwork entered should be a TIFF or JPEG file, at least 10cm x 15cm at 300dpi.
PRIZES:
The artwork judged as the best will receive the following prizes!
