The series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series (Known as When They Cry in the English Market) was most probably the one series that got me into the mystery genre for anime, with a strong mystery genre on the top and both the comedy and violence as the extra elements that made the series special. HOWEVER now we have the second OVA series upon us ‘Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira’ which is supposed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series, and for those who have read my previous articles on the title, will know that all signs point to a bitterly disappointing ‘Fanservice’ series. They have now posted up a new ‘Magical Girl’ trailer for the series… and I am left speechless… All I can hope for is that the ‘Kira’ in the title means that we can expect more proper episodes after this upcoming fanservice episodes…..
