Australian Anime Announcements

-

Here is just a quick notice stating some of the newly announced anime series that will be hitting Australian stores soon! Hopefully within a few months at least.

Madman

Australian Anime Announcements 1

Thanks to the AnimeNewsNetwork for reporting this, but at the Wai-Con 2011, which took place in Perth recently, they announced the following titles:

  • Chrome Shelled Regios
  • Strike Witches
  • Mobile Suit Gundam (Bilingual Release)
  • Gundam Unicorn (DVD)
  • The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

None on these currently have release dates set however, so it could be one month, two months or more. It was a surprise considering how certain groups seem to be up in arms about even the slightest bit of adult content over here (I mean….. we have had games banned for the use of the word morphine… seriously!?!?!). So I wonder how girls in bloomers will go?

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya will also be another good title to see, and hopefully it will be out soon. I will have reviews for the first two sets of the series by Madman up sometime soon hopefully!

Siren Visual

Australian Anime Announcements 2

A few days ago Siren Visual announced the long awaited announcement of Clannad: After Story and the first part is due out in April. I like the Clannad series and currently have a review of the second part of the first series in the works as I type this.

Nothing else much new from Siren Visual so far, however they have a number of interesting titles coming up next month such as:

  • Casshern Sins part 2
  • Welcome to Irabu’s Office
  • When they Cry Part 1

So no matter how you look at it, Madman and Siren Visual seem to have an impressive set of anime coming out soon!

For those wondering about my usual game announcements, do not fear! They shall be up tomorrow in a huge catchup article on gaming news!
