Deathsmiles Set to Receive Steam Release on March 10

-

Following its initial western release on the Xbox360 in 2010, CAVE’s gothic horizontal side-scrolling shoot ’em up (schmup) Deathsmiles is set to be available on the PC very soon. Publisher Degica have confirmed that the game will be available for purchase via the Steam digital distribution service starting March 10th 2016. During the first week of availability, Deathsmiles will come with the original soundtrack for free – before it becomes a standalone purchase.

In Deathsmiles, players will take control of one five Angels, who are tasked with defending the magical land of Gilverado from an invasion instigated by hell. This angel will be up against ghosts, demons, man-eating planets and even giant cattle.

This release follows CAVE’s other schmup, Mushihimesama, being made available for purchase via the service in November last year. On the mention of Mushihimesama, two new arranged soundtracks have been made available via Steam based on the game’s music (Mushihimesama Cave Festival ver1.5 -Arrange Album- and Mushihimesama Special Arrange Album), both of which are available with a launch discount of 20% ($4.99 down to $3.99 USD)
