Bringing what could arguably be considered the most renown Final Fantasy game to date to mobile platforms, Square Enix have confirmed that Final Fantasy VII is now available for purchase on iOS devices. Although prices may vary between each regional App Store, the game is currently priced at $15.99 USD, and supports both the iPhone and iPad.
This game features a number of additions from the original console and PC releases, two of which help make the game accessible for those who don’t have the time to grind or battle in random encounters. One of these features is an enemy encounter option that allows players to enjoy the storyline uninterrupted. While enemy encounters will be disabled, players are still going to be able to enjoy the story event battles. For those who want to battle but want to just cruise through battle, there will also be a Max Stats command offered, which enables characters to become all-powerful with ease.
These features are in addition to an optimised UI for mobile gaming, including the ability to select between virtual analogue and fixed four-way digital control pad options.
Originally released in 1997 on the PlayStation 1, Final Fantasy VII is in the middle of receiving an enhanced PlayStation 4 remake. No release date for this edition has been confirmed to date.
