Phantasy Star Online 2 Headed to PlayStation 4 in Japan

-

Although it has been three years since SEGA first announced their international release plans for the online game in Western markets (and to date is still not officially available), Phantasy Star Online 2 still seems to be going strong in Japan. It turns out that SEGA are soon going to be expanding availability of this title to a wider audience of console gamers.

SEGA have announced they will be bringing the game to PlayStation 4 consoles at an unspecified date in 2016. This follows a the original PC edition first released in July 2012 and a subsequent PlayStation Vita edition in February 2013. This announcement also follows the recent confirmation of ‘Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation‘ – which is also set for release sometime in 2016.

SEGA have also confirmed that they also have a content update / chapter titled ‘Reborn: Episode 4’ in the works. This will be rolled out to PC and PlayStation Vita editions at a later date.
